UX Strategy & Research

The UX strategy focused on translating the emotional experience of staying at Palazzo Caterina into a calm, intuitive digital journey.

Research began with an analysis of high-end boutique hotel and luxury accommodation websites to understand how premium hospitality brands communicate atmosphere, trust, and exclusivity online.

Key insights showed that users exploring luxury stays value visual storytelling, clarity, and emotional connection over dense content or complex navigation. The strategy prioritized immersive imagery, minimal cognitive load, and a frictionless path to essential information such as accommodation details, location, and booking intent.

User flows were designed to feel unhurried and natural, guiding visitors through the story of the property while subtly supporting conversion. Every interaction was intentionally restrained, allowing the architecture, interior design, and ambiance to remain the primary focus.

Design Approach

The design approach embraced effortless elegance and minimalism, mirroring the character of the property itself.

A restrained color palette, refined typography, and generous white space were used to create a sense of calm and sophistication, echoing the timeless atmosphere of the historic townhouse.

The layout was structured to highlight photography as the hero element, allowing each space within Palazzo Caterina to speak for itself. Subtle transitions and micro-interactions were introduced to enhance the experience without drawing attention away from the content.

The website was designed and developed in WordPress with a strong emphasis on performance, responsiveness, and maintainability. The result is a flexible and scalable platform that allows the property to evolve its digital presence while maintaining a consistent, premium aesthetic across all devices.

Results & Impact

The final website delivers a refined digital presence that aligns seamlessly with the identity of Palazzo Caterina.

The experience communicates luxury through simplicity, offering visitors a clear and emotionally engaging introduction to the property.

The combination of immersive visuals, intuitive navigation, and optimized performance supports user engagement and encourages exploration, while providing a strong foundation for future growth and marketing initiatives. The project successfully positions Palazzo Caterina as a sophisticated boutique destination and creates a digital experience that reflects the quality, comfort, and character of the stay itself.
