UX Strategy & Research

The UX strategy focused on understanding how users typically search for construction and excavation services online.

Research included reviewing competitor websites and industry best practices to identify common friction points, such as unclear service descriptions, weak calls to action, and overly technical language.

Insights from this phase showed that users value clarity, transparency, and fast access to contact information. The strategy prioritized simple navigation, clearly defined service sections, and confidence-building elements such as certifications, service explanations, and accessibility-focused offerings. Special attention was given to ensuring that information about wheelchair ramp consultation and installation was easy to find and understand for users with specific needs.

Design Approach

The design approach emphasized a clean, structured, and professional visual language.

A strong layout hierarchy, balanced typography, and restrained color usage were used to communicate reliability and craftsmanship without unnecessary complexity.

Visual elements were kept purposeful, supporting readability and usability across devices. The interface was designed to be intuitive for a wide range of users, including homeowners, commercial clients, and accessibility-focused audiences. The website was built in WordPress with performance, responsiveness, and long-term maintainability in mind, allowing the client to easily update content as services evolve.
