This project focused on designing and developing a purpose-driven website for an organization dedicated to shaping young athletes into confident leaders—on the field, at home, and in life. The goal was to translate a powerful mission into a digital experience that feels inspiring, trustworthy, and emotionally resonant for both athletes and parents.

UX Strategy & Research

The project began with an in-depth UX analysis and competitive benchmarking of leading football club e-commerce websites.

The UX strategy was informed by research into youth sports organizations, leadership programs, and parent-focused decision-making journeys. A key focus was understanding how parents evaluate trust, credibility, and long-term value, while also considering how young athletes emotionally connect with motivation, belonging, and personal growth.

Insights from research highlighted the importance of:

  • Clear articulation of mission and values

  • Visual storytelling that reflects real growth and confidence

  • Simple navigation that reduces friction for busy parents

  • Strong reassurance through tone, structure, and consistency

Based on these findings, the UX strategy prioritized clarity, emotional connection, and confidence-building throughout the experience. Content was structured to guide users naturally from purpose to programs, reinforcing trust at every step and making the organization’s impact immediately understandable.

Design Approach

The design approach focused on creating a warm, confident, and modern visual language that reflects growth, leadership, and human connection.

Rather than relying on overly aggressive sports aesthetics, the interface balances energy with approachability—mirroring the organization’s philosophy of developing character alongside athletic skill.

Typography, spacing, and layout were carefully considered to ensure content feels readable, calm, and intentional. Visual hierarchy directs attention to key messages while allowing supporting content to breathe. The design system was built to scale, enabling future content expansion without compromising visual consistency.

On the technical side, the website was developed in WordPress with a flexible, component-based structure. This allows the team to manage content independently while maintaining design integrity and performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Results & Impact

The final website delivers a clear, emotionally engaging experience that aligns the organization’s mission with user expectations.

The improved structure and visual clarity help users quickly understand what the organization stands for, how it supports young athletes, and why its approach extends beyond sports.

The design supports stronger engagement by reducing cognitive load, improving content discoverability, and creating a sense of trust and credibility from the first interaction. As a result, the platform provides a solid foundation for long-term growth, community building, and program expansion.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful UX strategy, intentional design, and solid WordPress execution can transform a meaningful mission into a compelling digital experience.
